Fiona - is a lady boss!

With a shop located at Bencoolen Street providing facial and beauty services, there will sure be guys knocking on the door asking for some other special services. This week BELUMNI babe, Fiona Lam, shares with us her encounter.

“Well, there were once an Indian customer came into my shop asking for massage. He said he wanted some special private part massage. I was on the verge of shouting at him, telling him off that my shop do not do any hanky panky here. He got so embarrassed that he just walked away without saying anything.”

Wow, that’s really happening. What other memorable incident did this lovely lady encounter too?

“I spent my 19th birthday onboard a plane, heading towards London. To my surprise, I actually had a celebration on the plane. Everyone was singing the birthday song for me. I even received presents from strangers and the cabin crews.

What are you currently busy with?
I am currently busy establishing my shop, which I set up about a year ago.

What are you selling at the shop and where is it located?
It is located at Bencoolen Street, selling beauty products and providing facial.

What were the difficulties that you encountered when you were setting up this shop?
Having a hard times hitting the sales and building up customer based.

You started alone?
I started alone but with some capital borrowed from my mum. She lent me about $100k.

What do you see yourself working as if you do not have the shop?
I will definitely still be in the beauty industry.
