Clocking only about 5% of attendance in her entire school days during the last year in Secondary School, this week's BELUMNI BABE, Gwen, amazingly achieved 17 points in her ‘O’ Level to enter a local Polytechnic.
“One of the most memorable events in my life was the day I received my ‘O’ Level Certificate. I had been skipping classes during the last year of my Secondary School days and burnt the midnight oil only the night before all the examinations. I thought I would end up in ITE, but I managed to obtain 17 points and enter a Polytechnic.”
What’s her secret recipe for retaining in school with such a low attendance record?
“My dad is a teacher in the school that I was studying in. I guess the Principal gave my dad quite a lot of face. I am really sorry that I have been such a disappointment to my dad. I was really rebellious last time but I promise to be a better daughter.”
Which race you belong to?
Peranakan Chinese Filipino.
If given a chance to turn back time, to when and why?
If given a chance to turn back time, I’d like to go back to JAN 2008, I would cherish my boyfriend Eddie and not allow anything bad to happen to him.
What do you want to achieve in 5 years time?
I want to be a successful events manager. Get married to a good man, hopefully Eddie. And have with me my healthy Maltese, Baby.
What is your childhood aspiration?
To meet superman (acted by Christopher Reeve), my childhood hero.
If you have a million dollars now, what will you do with it?
Bring Baby (my Maltese) for obedience training because he is very naughty. Give my parents 1/4 of the remaining. Another 1/4 to charity. The other remaining, I would spend on food, entertainment and of course clothes and beauty products! haha.
What was the most expensive things that you ever received?
It’s what my parents had given me from young- love, shelter and education.
Understand that you have tattoo. How many tattoo you have?
I’ve 2. One on my lower back, the other on my arm.

One is my name, which is located on my arm (:

Why did you want to have tattoo??
I'm adventurous and I wanted to try out something new.
